Types of Sentences
Sentence: A group of words that express a complete thought. Every sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark, such as a period(.), question mark(?), or exclamation mark(!).
Sentence Fragment: A group of words that does not express a complete thought.
Four Types of Sentence
Declarative Sentence: A sentence making a statement, it is punctuated by a period
Imperative Sentence: A sentence making a comman or request, it is punctuated by a period or exclamation mark.
Exclamatory Sentence: A sentence expressing great emotion or excitement, it is punctuated by an exclamation mark.
Interrogative Sentence: A sentence that asks a question, it is punctuated by a question mark.
